Dr. Zsuzsanna Ricz

Dr. Ricz completed her residency training from 1990 to 1995 at the Intensive Care Unit and Dept. of Anaesthesiology, Heim Pál Children’s Hospital, Budapest, Hungary. In that time, she treated several children with serious trauma, burning, intoxication, liver and renal failure, respiratory insufficiency, etc.

After she obtained Hungarian Board Certification in Anaesthesia and Intensive care, she has joined the prestigious children’s health institute in Hungary – the first Pediatric Dept. of Semmelweis Medical University, Budapest. She had the opportunity to anesthetize neonates and premature babies with congenital malformations, like esophageal atresia, hernia diaphragmatic, midgut atresia, etc.

She was able to gain experience in treating children with many rare diseases and serious conditions, such as liver and renal failure, chromosome anomalies, and endocrine and metabolic diseases. She earned her Hungarian Board Certification in Paediatrics in 1999.

Between 1999 and 2004, she had been working at the Pediatric Dept. of Pest County Pulmonology Hospital, Törökbálint and at the Bronchologic Dept. of Svábhegy Pulmonology Institute, Budapest. Dr. Ricz gained experience in performing bronchoscopic evaluation and bronchoalveolar lavage, removing the foreign body from airways, and in treating children with pulmonary diseases, like pneumonia, asthma, cystic fibrosis etc.

She completed her specialization in Pediatric Pulmonology in 2002. Prior to moving to Dubai, she had been working for the Telki Private Hospital – the biggest international private hospital in Hungary for 12 years as a consultant of Pediatrics and Anaesthesiology and for 9 years as the head of the Neonatal and Pediatric Department.
