Hanna Maria Gattner

Dr. Hanna Gattner is a specialist anaesthetist with more than 20 years of experience in anaesthesia. During her residency at the Oncological Department of University of Medical Sciences in Poland, she was involved in organising the first palliative pain clinic with Professor Jacek Luczak and completed practical and theoretical training in BLS for medical students.

Independently from obligatory training on pain management she accomplished courses in acupuncture with a Chinese professor. That helped her to open a private practice and take care of patients with chronic pain due to degenerative diseases of spinal and other functional disorders like migraine, tension headache and enuresis in children.

In 1994 she joined as a specialist anaesthetist in the newly opened private hospital in Poznan, Poland. During her tenure she gained experience in regional anaesthesia, mostly in epidural and spinal for urological and orthopaedic patients. In 2005 she obtained GMC registration in the UK and was posted as a consultant anaesthetist in the UK. It was here that she gained experience in TIVA/TCI anaesthesia for patients as day cases and participated in many training courses in management of difficult airways and ALS.

Dr. Hanna was instrumental in opening of the Anaesthesiology Department at Medcare Hospital in Jumeirah, Dubai, and had a brief repatriation to the UK, before joining the staff at Mediclinic City Hospital.
