Dr. Fadhil Hussein Ghayb Al Rubye

Dr. Fadhil Hussein Ghayb Al Rubaye is an esteemed Consultant in Paediatric Cardiology in the Department of Paediatrics at Medcare Hospital Sharjah. He graduated from the Baghdad Medical College and completed his residency at the renowned Ibn Albitar Cardiac Centre in Baghdad, Iraq. Subsequently, he completed a Fellowship in General Paediatrics followed by another Board Certified Fellowship in Paediatric Cardiology, both from Baghdad. He also holds a Diploma in Paediatric Cardiology, from Madrid in Spain.

Dr. Al Rubaye is a member of several prestigious associations around the world including the Emirates Medical Association (EMA), the Emirates Cardiac Association (ECA), the Euro-Echo Association (EEA), the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI), the Iraqi Heart Association and the Iraqi Medical Association.

During the initial years of his career, Dr. Al Rubaye honed his skills in Cardiology at the Ibn Alnafees Cardiac Centre in Iraq. Relocated to the UAE where he spent decade as a Consultant in Paediatric Cardiology and as Head of Paediatric Cardiology at the Dubai Hospital Cardiac Centre. He strongly believes in sharing his experience and knowledge with the newer generation and serves as a clinical adjunct assistant professor at the Dubai Medical College, and at the Muhammad Bin Rashid University.

He also worked for a couple of years as a Consultant Paediatric Cardiology at Jalila Children Specialty Hospital.

Besides managing paediatric cardiology outpatient clinics Dr. Al Rubaye has handled in-patient cardiac ICU, Paediatric ICU, and Neonatal SBCU patients. He specializes in supporting other hospital departments (emergency, general paediatric, neonatology, GIT, Oncology, and Nephrology) and manages adult congenital, and prenatal patients with congenital heart disease. He is involved in certifying patients’ fitness for surgery, attending school, travelling, military, anaesthesia and dental fitness.

He is an expert at Cardiac catheterization (diagnostic and therapeutic), echocardiography, reading ECG reports, Holter monitor and exercise ECG. As a Consultant in Paediatric Cardiology, he is skilled in both non-invasive and interventional methods for congenital heart disease. He considers it important to manage this globally growing, adult congenital heart disease.
