Dr. Khalid Khalfanobtained his basic medical degree from Al Ain, UAE and went on to pursue his master’s degree (M.Sc) in General Surgery from London, UK and
Specialist Pediatric Surgery (Facharzt) from Cologne, Germany.

He completed his pediatric surgical training and fellowship at Cologne Children Hospital, Germany.

Experience
Dr. Khalid Khalfan is German board certified, prominent Emirati Pediatric Surgeon privileged to touch many young lives in 15 years of his clinical practice and manages a wide spectrum of neonatal and paediatric surgical conditions.

Apart from being the Consultant Pediatric Surgeon in University Hospital Sharjah, he is also associated as Deputy Medical Director and Consultant Pediatric Surgeon in Al Qassimi Hospital, where he is also credited to establish the first laparoscopic pediatric surgery department in the region.

In addition to general neonatal and paediatric surgery, Dr. Khalid is passionate about academics and is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in University of Sharjah and is the local instructor for Intercollegiate Basic Surgical Skills Course and examiner for final MBBS and surgical rotation exams.

He is also an active member of UAE Pediatric Surgical Society and International Pediatric Endoscopy Group (IPEG).

Dr. Khalfan has numerous research studies published and presented in local and international forums.
